I think it would be easier and motivational if I were to give myself small datelines before I can reach my target at the end of this 6 months. As I need to be at least 65kg at the end of this program, that means I need to lose more than 20kg.. hmmm.. how am I going to do this.. Ok, I got it.. let's divide them in months.. I am going to lose 24kg in 6 months that means I need to lose at least 4kg a month.. I like 4kg a month.. it seems doable.. this means I need to lose roughly about 1 kg a week.. doesn't seem so bad right?
I started with 87.7kg.. though I started a little bit late, I am going to stick with end of the month datelines.. So here are the datelines:
08/04/2010 - 87.7kg
30/04/2010 - 83.7kg (almost there.. yeay :p)
31/05/2010 - 79.7kg
30/06/2010 - 75.7kg
31/07/2010 - 71.7kg
31/08/2010 - 67.7kg
30/09/2010 - 63.7kg

Anyway, just to share with you.. Now that I have started going to the gym, I really felt much better during the day. I felt more energatic. Even though I was fasting these couple of days, I was feeling alright. Did not really feel hungry. Felt quite thirsty as I lost alot of water exercising but I can still manage. I think going the gym also keeps me busy so I don't have much time to sit and think about how hungry I am and what food am I having for dinner :) I think it has also improved my blood circulation hence I feel much much better than before.. I should have done this earlier.. much much much earlier.. huhuhuhu...
It has been quite some time since I last exercise. So I was really scared of how sore my body would be after the first few sessions. My husband advised me to just focus on cardio activities. He said just do something that will keep your heart pumping faster but it must be breezy.. means, if you start feel you have to work for it, it is already too much.. I did just that and so far, my body was not that sore.. Only my right leg felt a little tired but it was ok.. I can still manage this.. What I had in my mind earlier was it would be very sore that I could not even climb the stairs.. the kind of sore where I will feel pain each time I use the muscle.. Maybe I did not do enough.. But I think this is still good :)
The first day I started the treadmill, I can only increase the speed to 5 only.. I can't even continuously run for half a lap (1 lap is 400m).. So I did brisk walking most of the time.. My heart rate was only max at 133 per min.. The second day, it was much better.. I can brisk walk at 5 and jog at 5.4.. I still could not jog continuously for half a lap.. My heart beat touches 140+ per min.. The third day, I was able to increase the speed to brisk walk at 6 and run at 6.4.. I could finish half a lap jogging continuously... This time, my heart beat can touch 150+ per min.. On the fourth day I went to the gym, I was able to brisk at 6.6 and jog at 7.1.. And I could finish jogging 1 full lap.. And my heart beat averaging at 140+ when I brisk walk and 150+ when I jog.. This improvements really made me going.. it's like I can do better today.. and I really did better each time..
I did not cycle as much though as I think I lost more calories in the same span of time when I jog on the treadmill.. I am trying to increase my time to the treadmill to 30 min and if I still have more time, I can cycle and use the iGallop..
